During the pilot phase, Phinder-controlled cookies and browser storage are limited to what is needed to provide the service:

• The public search pages do not require account cookies for normal search.
• The researcher portal may use a session cookie to keep you signed in.
• The researcher portal may use a CSRF cookie to protect forms from cross-site request forgery.
• Claim, login, and ORCID sign-in flows may use temporary session data to complete the requested action.
• The site may store your theme preference in browser local storage. This is not a cookie and is not used for tracking.

No Phinder Analytics or Advertising Cookies

Phinder does not currently use analytics cookies, advertising cookies, or cross-site tracking cookies in the pilot baseline.

Embedded Media

Some pages may include embedded media, such as the privacy-enhanced YouTube player on the About page. Those services may use their own cookies or similar technologies if you interact with them. Phinder does not use that storage for Phinder analytics or advertising.
